A shopping center called Downtown Summerlin is another short drive from The Summit. This shopping center has both big brand stores and smaller boutiques, as well as casual and upscale restaurants.

Many of the private institutions offer education for grades K-12. These include The Adelson Educational Campus, The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.
The Summit is surrounded by world-class retail and entertainment centers. Three resort hotels, nine golf courses, 150 parks, several houses of worship, office parks, and medical centers are located within the area.
If all that weren’t enough, The Summit maintains a dedicated Outdoor Pursuits Team to plan trail hikes through the Red Rock Canyon, camping in the Valley of Fire, and water sports at Lake Mead.
If you wish to go further afield, Hoover Dam is close by. You can opt for a guided tour of the dam, or you can purchase an admission ticket when you arrive by car. An hour away, The Valley of Fire invites exploration with rock formations, petroglyphs, and scenic views.
